Welcome to Our New Look with Innovations
We left behind an extremely busy year in which exports were up, but inflation was running rampant at the same rate. And unfortunately, the devastating earthquake and heavy losses we experienced in our country at the beginning of the year has deeply affected us. I would like to take this opportunity to once again wish Allah’s mercy to those who lost their lives and a speedy recovery to those who were injured. Hereby I would like to thank the stakeholders of the sector who did their best in this process in the hope of healing the wounds to some extent, providing earthquake victims with a pillow to put their heads on, a blanket to cover them and many more.
In terms of our country’s survival, there are investments that will add value to the country’s economy. The most important of these are green transformation and sustainability themes. While we only have one planet to live on, it is now imperative to protect it, especially as the textile industry which produces the most waste, we have to embrace the transformation. As a press organization, we prepared our content for this issue mainly on the theme of sustainability. We are now in a period where we will talk about how environmentally friendly companies are, rather than the growth volumes of them.
You may have noticed Homex’s new logo when you first picked up the magazine. Homex Magazine will now be published under the umbrella organization of Karat Medya Publishing&Exhibition&Booth Design. We have accomplished new and successful projects with our new company, and we will continue to do so. Esteemed industry officials, I would like to herald you to about the home textile fair that we will organize in Izmir on 9-12 October 2024, in cooperation with İzfaş. The fair, which will embrace every product from duvet covers to curtains, from pillows to bathrobes, from mats to sofa covers, will be a new breath for the sector. That’s all for now, hope to see you in future issues…
Kind regards,
