Winner of the Sustainable Logistics Award is LİMA
Standing out among the well-established companies with 10 years of experience in the competitive environment of the logistics sector and won the “Best Place to Work” and “Sustainable Logistics” awards, Lima Logistics Co-Founder Vedat Çelik said, “The main reason why Lima has gained a good place for itself in a short period of time is that we produce customer and project-oriented solutions.”
Lima Logistics, a service provider that has succeeded in making its customers say “If it is Lima, we are at ease” with its 24/7 accessibility and instant information on all cargo movements from the point of origin to the destination, will also be addressed with the “Lima Green” project in the near future.
Stating that they started the sustainability journey in the sector with Lima Green by receiving the ‘Sustainable Logistics of the Year’ award at the 8th Economy and Logistics Summit, Lima Logistics Founding Partner Vedat Çelik said, “The logistics industry is, by definition, a sector that consumes a lot of fossil fuels, and as a result, the carbon footprint is quite high. For this reason, we are breaking new ground in the sector in terms of sustainable logistics and offering “carbon neutral” transportation services to our customers. Thanks to globally accepted and accredited algorithms, the cargo is delivered in an environmentally friendly manner with Lima Green, which creates the carbon footprint specific to that cargo, regardless of the transportation mode, taking into account the arrival-exit points, volumetric weight and other parameters. Although carbon neutral transportation is a choice in many parts of the world for now, it is inevitable that it will become a necessity in the near future.”
Stating that they also achieved success with Fair Logistics, Çelik, “We achieved a growth of 29% in 2023. We aim for a 32% growth for 2024 with the increase in the number of intermodal and minivans and new personnel and equipment investments to be made in both our domestic and international offices” concluded his words.
